Grow In Stature
We don't want to keep growing physically after we are about 20 years old, but we can keep on growing in the way we take care of our physical health. Our bodies are given to us to steward. We are whole beings and our physical health affects every other part of our lives, mentally, emotionally, relationally and spiritually. We face temptations better, we love people better, we think better, and we are better able to manage our emotions when we are well taken care of physically. You are a steward of your own body. How is that stewardship going? Let's be careful to realize it is every bit as spiritual to get proper rest and eat healthily as it is to pray prayers or attend church. Separation of sacred and secular has created a warped view of life. God created all of life and set it all apart as sacred. What can you do this week to honour God with your physical health?

Growing In Wisdom
Jesus grew in wisdom. The Bible teaches that with all our getting, we are to get wisdom. This means investing a lot of energy into getting wisdom. This is not an optional thing for Christ-followers. Here are ten ways to get wisdom from the Bible.
1. Value Wisdom
2. Choose Wisdom
3. Pursue Wisdom
4. Ask God for Wisdom
5. Fear God
6. Please God
7. Listen to God
8. Be Humble
9. Receive Correction
10. Get Godly Counsel

Grow
One of the most satisfying things in life is to grow. Children are curious about life, always asking questions. Learning new things is one of my kids' favourite things to do. Life gets stale fast if we stop growing. God made us to grow. What is God teaching you lately?
The matrix I use for growth is Luke 2:52. "Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, favour with God and favour with men."
Four areas to keep growing:
- mentally
- physically
- spiritually
- relationally
I am off to a marriage conference to grow. Have a great day!

Failing Forward
Failure is seen as a negative in our lives, so we don't like to admit our failures. We would prefer to hide them in a corner and ignore them. The problem is, our failures are some of our greatest opportunities to learn and grow. Ignoring them increases the likelihood of experiencing them again. Facing them boldly allows us to learn from them.
What if we saw failure as an opportunity? What if we were confident that our failure was not final? What if we created a culture in our hearts and minds that declared, "When I fall, I will get back up...I will learn something...and I will move on."
If we did this, falling would still scrape our knee but it wouldn't affect our hearts in the same way.
"Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall, I will arise;" Micah 7:8
"For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again," Prov. 24:16
What failure in your life do you need to face, learn from, and then with determination get back up and do things differently?
