Afraid

I was just browsing facebook (hey, don't judge me, at least I admitted to it) and read this great quote;

"The greatest mistake in life is going through life constantly afraid of making one..."

Fear is one of the most damaging emotions in our lives. It keeps us back from so much good. Ask yourself today how fear is holding you back and what you can do about it. Fear is often only overcome by confronting it head on. Fear reveals a lack of trust in God. Press on, fellow pilgrims, fight through your fears and accomplish the good your life was made to do.

Doing Hard Things

I recently saw a book by this title. What a great concept. It's hard to step out and take risks. It's hard to be disciplined and work when we feel like being lazy. It's hard to eat healthy when yummy unhealthy food is begging to be eaten. But doing hard things (when they are the right things) is a way of life that is far easier in the long run than doing easy things! Today I am meeting with a man I have tremendous respect for. I am nervous, I am unsure if I should impose my time on him. I don't know what I should say or ask. But I am doing it anyway. Is there an easier way? Yes...do nothing...but the path of least resistence has never been the way to go!
Do hard things.
