presence

Experiencing God's presence is the greatest joy possible for His children.

Leviticus 9:24
Fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.

1 Chronicles 29:22  They ate and drank with great joy in the presence of the LORD that day.

Psalm 16:11  You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Psalm 21:6  Surely you have granted him unending blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence.

Acts 2:28  You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.’

Jude 1:24  To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy

When is the last time you personally encountered the presence of God? Be careful of misunderstanding. There is so much over-emphasis in our day on the outer responses or manifestations rather than on the soul's inner delight in His Person. The people I have known who have truly known God have kept the descriptions of the outer reactions to a minimum and rather described His loveliness and wonder and power and awesome fearfulness and overwhelming grace.

May you meet with Him. Know Him. Enjoy Him. Delight yourself in Him.
