JOY

I taught Sunday School for several years. I think I learned as much or more from the lessons than the kids did. Sometimes kids' lessons are so painfully obvious that we feel we are above them or that they are not really applicable in our complex world.

Maybe solving this world's problems is more simple than we make it out to be. Maybe our fear of the simplistic answer keeps us from the truth. For example:

When I was a little boy I was taught that joy was spelled, "Jesus, Others, You".

J.O.Y.

Pretty corny and simplistic if you are an adult but a great lesson for kids. Come to think of it...it's a great lesson for me too.
