Decision

There is not much power in one small decision. A shovel only carries a little dirt. Hundreds of small daily choices seem insignificant in the moment.

What difference will this decision make? If only we learned to harness the power of accumulation.

Start by thinking ahead to where you want to go, what you want to be, and what you want to do (begin with the end in mind). Then remember that every decision helps get you closer or takes you further away.

Imagine you are digging a hole for five hours and making some progress and then someone comes along and puts a shovel full of dirt back in the hole. Frustrated? Imagine if you were the one shovelling it back in the hole. Crazy? Won’t make much difference? It will make some difference and a whole bunch of “some differences” make a very big difference.
