There are a lot of good reasons to pray. But one that has recently become more powerful to me is that prayer increases my sense of the reality of God.
Especially personal prayer.
When I pray alone and spend time with God,
when I seek Him and encounter His presence on a walk or in my living room,
when I invite to a conversation in my car, my office or my shower;
I experience Him afresh.
Somehow, prayer makes the invisible God far more tangible to me.
