The Tricky Business of Happiness

Happiness is a funny thing. Much of the time our senses deceive us. What we think will make us happy in any given moment often does not. In fact, many times it actually makes us miserable. The key to happiness is to be able to discern the difference between what will actually make us happy and what is promising happiness but will really only waste our time or worse. Many times all we concern ourselves with when it comes to our happiness is our circumstances. Although our circumstances do have some impact on our happiness, it is really very small compared to far more important matters.

Here are some of the things that are true about happiness:
Happy people are generous.
Happy people are disciplined.
Happy people have purpose.
Happy people connect and care.
Happy people take care of their thought life.
Happy people are grateful.
Happy people forgive.
